This Summer so far has been lovely, which means not much art done as I have been spending my time outside, walking, doing a bit of gardening and generally messing around. Apart from that, mid June I broke my ankle for the the third time, which was very painful and put me in a cast for six weeks. It was then I started doing some sketchbook work, to while the hours away and my frustration at not being able to go off when I pleased…crutches do tend to wear you out after a while. I also ordered a pack of Micron Pigma Pens made by Sakura, heard lots of good things about these and thought it was time to give them a go. Here are a few of my recent pieces, using a few Sharpies, Brusho Paint and Collage, last but not least drawing pens.I find myself being drawn to experiment with the idea of using collage and pens together, which is interesting, more of that to come.
